poker online is a game of observation. The more you notice, the more you learn, and the more you learn, the more you win. One of the best ways to learn about the people you’re playing against is to pay attention to the showdown, even when you are not involved in the poker online hand. The showdown is your main source of information about your opponents-it’s the big reveal after the show of checks, calls, raises, and folds. It shows you what the other players had, and when you plug that piece into the rest of the puzzle, you can see why each player did what he did throughout the hand. Once you see what each poker online player had, figure out what he did with it. What hand did he play? What position did he play that hand in? Did he raise with the A-K or did he slow play it? If you see a player make a huge bluff with nothing, you can take advantage of that later on by calling him in a similar situation, and if you see a player slow play the nuts from the flop and win a huge pot, you’ll know to be careful with that player throughout the game.
